February 17 --Jeremiah 17:5–10; Psalm 1; 1 Corinthians 15:12–20; Luke 6:17–26.
February 24 --Genesis 45:3–11, 15; Psalm 37:1–11, 39–40; 1 Corinthians 15:35–38, 42–50; Luke 6:27–38.
In today’s Gospel reading in Luke 6:19…it is talking about Jesus and says He “healed all of them” I like to point that out because it doesn’t say just some of them. He healed all. That is Jesus’ desire for you, to heal you too and heal every part of you. He took a terrible whipping before He endured the cross and it says in Isaiah 53:4,5 “Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our diseases; yet we accounted him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed.” He took on all your pain and punishment so you
could be healed.
What amazing grace and love.
Life and Work Reading
The First Reading in 1 Corinthians 15:12-20 is about the Resurrection of Christ.
Your entire Christian Faith rests on this one principle. If God had not raised Jesus
from the dead, Christianity would have died 0ver 2000 years ago and the religious
leaders of the day knew it. That is why the Chief Priests and the Pharisees
went to Pilot and asked that the tomb be secured, it was guarded and sealed.
(Matthew 27:62 - Matthew 28:15) This way no one could came and steal the body.
The religious leaders did not want the worship of Jesus to continue, but Jesus rose
from the dead and if they could have proven it a hoax they would have. The guards
that witnessed this were paid off instead of executed for failing to secure that tomb.
Jesus rose from the dead, Jesus is real. God is that powerful. Your faith rests on fact,
a fact that has never been disproved.
