In this week’s sermon, Rev. Stewart talks about Jesus appearing on the beach talking to the disciples after death and telling them what they needed to do for a great catch of fish. (John 21:4-14) The disciples took in 153 fish.
Meanwhile on shore, He already has fish cooking on a fire ready to serve breakfast. He invites them to add some of their catch to the meal. I think it is marvelous to know that Jesus works with us. But also to know that we never can tell what will be on the shore after a long night of storm or work or toil. Jesus is on the shore, waiting and He has breakfast ready because He takes care of all our needs. He tells them how to bring in a plentiful catch, because He understands they need to make a living. He is on the shore waiting and makes the job less arduous and over quickly because He commands those fish to go to the nets. He has every detail on your mind, on His and He is there. If the night is long….remember your Savior is on the shore, waiting and He will take care of everything that pertains to you.
The LORD will accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O LORD, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. Psalm 138: 8 NASB
